There are a lot of frequently asked questions, so we are here to answer them!

 

- How long does Plasti Dip last?  If properly sprayed & cared for Plasti Dip will last up too 3 years without having to be retouched. It is very durable and will not lose it's bond. After 3 years, or during the three years if desired, a new coat can be easily applied right on top.

 

- Will it hold up to the elements (heat, snow, salt, ice)?  Plasti Dip is extremely resistant to the elements, including sun exposure, ice, cold, salt etc.  A lot of customers actually dip their wheels specifically to protect the original surfaces from the winter season.  Please keep in mind however that Fluorescent and Blaze products are subject to fading after prolonged UV exposure.  This only happens with these two items due to the fluorescent pigments utilized.

 

 

- Does it really peel off that easy?  Yes, Plasti Dip really does peel off.  We always apply a minimum of 3-4 coats, not only for durability, but to make sure it peels off in large pieces when you are ready for a new look. And it really does peel right off!

 

- How/Can I wash the dipped areas of my car?  Dipped items can be easily hand washed with regular car wash soap.  A Dipped vehicle also holds up to a standard power wash as well as automated car wash. Just be careful at automated car washes because if the wheel is held on by the metal track to go through the wash it can not only scratch your wheel but will rip the dip.

 

- Can I use Plasti Dip as a clear coat to protect my wheels for the winter or to protect other items on my car without painting a color?  Sure yo can, We have lots of customers that use the Clear Plasti Dip as a protective clear coat on whatever you want it Works great!

 

- Can I spray Glossifier over non-plastidipped areas?  Yes, Glossifier can be sprayed over non- Plasti Dipped areas and will add a glossy finish.  It also will peel off afterwards!

 

- How often can I change the color of my wheels? As many times as you want! You can change the color of your dipped items every day if you'd like.

 

 

 

 

 

-  How long does caliper paint last? With a primer and a few coats of paint and a clear coat on top your calipers will stay shinning for many years and will rarely fade away.

 

- Are LED lights really that much brighter then stock bulbs?LED lights totally change the look of the car in reverse. Not only is it so much brighter but it is a lot safer so people can see you. As far as interior it gives you the light that you wish you needed when something drops on the floor. It lights up the whole car at night and even in the day! 

 

- How dark is spray tint and is it better then viynl? Spray tint can be as dark as you want it it can be sprayed in several coats to your liking. It is a lot better then vinyl as it is a much cleaner look with no rough cut edges or peeling but the down side is it cant really be removed as easy as a viynl.
